2002 Gilze Rijen air show
The KLu airshow at Gilze Rijen 2002 brought as highlight a large Austrian delegation of a PC7, J35O Draken, AB212 ‘Huey’ and SC7 Skyvan. The Slovenian PC9M was also an interesting bird. Germany was still flying UH1D’s, Bo105’s, Phantoms and MiG29’s; same goes for Italian F104S-ASA-M Starfighters and Belgian BN2 Islanders.
The Turkish Air Force joined up with a very welcome pair of F4E-2020 Phantoms, which adorned the flightline next to the German F4F. Since Gilze Rijen airbase was the home of the Dutch Apache/ Chinook/ Cougar squadrons some extra helicopters took part in this airshow; German Bo105, Czech Mi24 Hind, US Army UH60 Blackhawk and an Italian Huey were among these.
