2022 Volkel airbase 9th of March 2022

Officially the final operational year of our KLu F16's is 2024. So there are still chances to see this legendary aircraft in Dutch service.

The J-641 was one of the very first ones I noted as a spotter in the 90's - it was one of the standard 306sq Falcons if I recall correctly. Funny detail about the J-641 is the toned down 'Brabant' tailband with small piece of Frisian tailband on the rudder - Leeuwarden AB (Frisian) has just ended their operational F16 era. Volkel airbase is the final location for the Dutch F16's.

The J-060 and J-063 were fully AIM9/AIM120/ANALQ131/Sniper-pod armed QRA aircraft.

2022 Volkel airbase 26th of Octobre 2022

Initially I went to Volkel airbase on this date to see the TDY AMI Tornado's which were flying missions for the Steadfast Noon exercise. Unfortunately these did not fly in the morning so I just made some pics of the two F16's departing for local missions. Some more F16 time!
