As a counterpart to the annual Tigermeets and its association Kleine Brogel organized a Lionmeet; squadrons which pictured a lion in its emblem participated - and squadrons which held some kind of lion or even non-lion symbol in its emblem! Nevertheless a meeting with once again very interesting aircraft. Officialy this meeting was held as a COMAO - COMBined Air Operations - exercise, this way a staggering amount of 78 visitors/ participants were possible this day - not even counting the Kleine Brogel based F16's!

Many aircaft has special colour schemes, and the Belgian Air Force once again managed to arrange great numbers of all kinds of flyby's - many consisting of entire formations! Fighters, transports, helo's and training aircraft - all were presented. Aircrews were enhtusiast as can be seen in the many photographs of them waving - the terrain was littered with aicraft spotters and photographers without much fences - everyone acted responsible during such superb meetings. Hueys were arriving in the background while CH53's hovered by behind Mirage 2000C's getting refuelled.

The french participation was huge. Mirage F1's and Jaguars were still operational; the good sunny weather resulted in well angled photographs. British Harriers and Jaguars also attended the COMAO.

Italian Starfighters were always a welcome adition, everyone knew these were the final years F104's were operational - together with the German F4 Phantoms these were truly beasts of a passed era. Portuguese TB30 Epsilon and Alpha Jet trainers also joined the party - one of the Alpha Jets had a superb 'Jaguar' paint job... USAF A10's from Spangdahlem also managed to make some flyby's and overshoots.
