One of the parts of history of Woensdrecht air base is the German occupation during World War 2. It was renamed 'Fliegerhost Woensdrecht' and several Geschwader flew combat missions from it.
Another interesting topic is the Woensdrecht airfield/ air base maps, which give very good and detailed whereabouts of the airfield and structures.
Later on the RAF 132 Wing, which flew from Woensdrecht airfield after liberation, will be added to the history of Woensdrecht topic.
