Other Clothing items
Items used for clothing and/ or belts but do not quite resemble buckles or plating. The picture to the right shows such items: a belts combined together - a total of 6 different metal items can be seen on this particular gear which do not resemble buckles or other more common items!
Mantle/ clothing clasp with two hooks, used to hold a mantle or multiple pieces of clothing together, dated 600-1600 (PAN 08-02-01-02).
The piece below is an exact copy of the PAN website picture, although it is damaged and lacks one hook.
To the right two pieces of a three-piece belt buckle used to combine three belts, dated 1400-1649 (PAN 05-10-01).
The piece to the right is badly worn - although it resembles most the part above in the drawing. Even though it could very well be an other type of buckle plate or even a part of book clasp - this proves identification can sometimes be very difficult due to worn items.
