Thimbles (vingerhoedjes)
Thimbles were much used tools for sowing clothing and were part of every sewing kit. Most findings are 17th or later centuries produced. Earlier and medieval models are rare.
Lead spindles used for hand spinning threads from wool. These were used before the invention of the spinning wheel around the 17th century. Most likely these were still used during this era; but most are early ages or medieval. Much older spindles can be found which are fabricated from clay.
Another nice finding is this gilded needle case with some detailed decorations.
