Jewelry & Ornaments
Fragments of rings can be found - some are copper like the samples above. One has an ornament representing a flower, so this was most likely a woman's/ girls ring. Most of these rings were gilded, as can be seen in the more sturdier ring in the photograph above left. To the right a more modern cast tin/ iron ring; some decorations are still visible - the front plate looks brass and once, most likely, held some other decoration.
A small but very nicely and precise shaped ornament. Its exact function unknown, although the hole could hold a pin - this would make it a cloth or hair pin.
A more modern (19th/ 20th century) hairpin; the pin on the backside is missing. The front side was decorated with black paint, some still visible.
Some 19th/ 20th century ornaments; top left a brooch with a christian cross, anchor, heart and two four leaf clovers - repressenting faith, love, hope and luck. Top right a hanger with flowers which still have some enamel. Bottom right a 1962 pin of the KRO - 'Katholieke Radio Omroep'. The item bottom left is unknown to me although it looks like it has a clasp/ brooch mechanism on the back.
Close ups of the KRO pin, enamel adorned hanger and faith/ love/ hope/ luck brooch.
