• Tank : LT vz34
  • Paper : postcard used paper

51 of this type were produced by the Czech CKD company. After the annexation of Czechoslovakia the LT vz34’s, which were obsolete at this time, were scrapped by the German army and 27 were transferred to the new pro-German Slovak state. These were eventually used for training duties by the Slovaks.

In the photograph above can be seen one of these tanks standing in the middle of a town square. Many civilians are curious about this tank. Some bicycle troops can be seen, with their riffles on their back, passing by. Bicycle troops were very common pre-World War 2. These bicycle troops wear non-German helmets. This would be either Czechoslovakian or Slovakian troops – most likely during some training exercise.
